Lovee Computer Lab
I’m sitting in the computer lab logging some work hours via the internet. Everything was going great until the desk clerk decided to CRANK UP HER MUSIC. Blaring loud obnoxious pop music. She’s singing along right now. It blends perfectly with the music in my headphones with dissonant waves of head pain. Despite my attempts to drown her out with my headphones, I can still hear all of it. Gah.
But my pain is relative. I’m sitting in beautiful Yangshuo enjoying the warm sun, cheap food, gorgeous scenary, and cheap internet connection.
Oh good, the techno song that plays every 20 minutes is on now.
Tim, Daniele, and Simon have since left us. A sobbing fairwell as usual. Not to fret though, we’ll be meeting up with them (following them incessantly - You can’t escape us!) in Hong Kong once Nat returns from Shanghai. Poor Nat went back to Shanghai for a supposed job interview which never happened. 29 hours of train each way. Oof. He was nice enough to pick up Rachel’s and my stuff from the hostel there. We all left some gear there thinking we’d all return for another dose of the city life in Shanghai. Not so.
Hong Kong is on our radar. Maybe within the next few days even.
