Mmm. Breakfast. Random.

1. It’s amazing how much this little meal can kick start your day and keep you energetic until lunch time.

2. On the way to work this morning a truck was spewing black disgusting smoke out of its stack while driving up the shoulder. I’m pretty sure he should have just turned off the truck and called for help instead of continuing whatever internal destruction (and consequently pollution) he was causing.

3. I drove Heather’s Prius to work today. Sweet bliss.

4. Mmmmm. Blueberries.

Wed. Session

Wednesday night’s session went off well! We’ve tracked the drums for all 5 songs. I have yet to listen to them all carefully to make sure Andy’s promise that he is a human metronome is true. So far so good! I’ve done a rough mix of his kit for Autumn Song and Utah. The headphones I’m using are pretty much crap, so I’ll most likely scrap the EQs and settings and start from scratch on a set of nice studio monitors, but it’s a good start!

This weekend if we don’t have to re-track any of the drums, we’ll be working on either rythm guitar or bass depending on who’s more excited between Matt and Mike.

The basement gets pretty dang hot without being able to run the fans (noise pollution). If anyone wants to stop by and bring us cold beverages while hard at work in the basement (currently dubbed a studio), that’d be wonderful

Begin. Demo. Go.

Tomorrow we are starting our demo recording! We’re all pretty excited to get some more material down so you can hear it.

The songs that are being considered for the new demo are:

Washes Over Me
One Time
Rewind
Utah
Autumn Song

Stay tuned! I’ll keep you updated on our progress.
