step back

last night i found out that a friend lost her brother to a drunk driver just yesterday. a drunk driver! made a bad choice and took someone else’s life because of it. not only took someone else’s life, but has now affected every single person connected to that life. don’t drink and drive peeps, you never know what could happen.

i don’t know what i’d do without my twin sister, or older sister, or either of my two little brothers. i think it would just about kill me. it’s really disheartening to hear about death in general, but even more so about abrupt and unwarranted death. makes you realize how fragile life can be and how important it is to live, love, and do the things that you’re passionate about. to try and live to your fullest potential. so many thoughts. so much emotion right now.

my heart goes out to you emily.

Shanel Is Shamazing

I had the opportunity to photograph the Shanel Regier fashion show at Tangerine this past Friday. After attending their first show in front of the Lela Botique it was really exciting to be see how far this has come already! The models were even more superb this time around and of course my camera has since been upgraded making the even that much more exciting! ;) The place was packed by 8pm and the show went, from my point of view, with out a hitch. Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting Shanel herself. She was a joy to talk to and be around, a very genuine and warm person.

More soon! Enjoy the pics!

My little bro Adam turned 18 on Wednesday! I suppose he is no longer in the “little” bro category. He learned that although he’s 18, he cannot immediately get financing for the motorcycle he wants. I learned the same thing at the same time. hehe.

Tonight Rachel, Nat, Adam & I shared a cigar! His new found right as an 18 year old to buy tobacco. His excitement was infectious and totally reminded me of the time I had my first 18 yr old cigar hiding behind my parents house with the boys. Quite the fiasco. I’m glad I never took up cigars. Must have been a similar entry level cigar like the one I first bought when I turned. hehe.

Happy Birthday Adam! Can’t wait to do more 18 year old things with you :)
